I’m very torn because I think if you accept the idea that age verification is going to happen. An anonymous os level signal is probably the best way to do it vs using some data hungry vendor and sending them all my info and having them collect data on every site I visit. But also I’m not thrilled because I think parents should decide etc. But pragmatically this is a good solution vs what’s happening with age verification solutions that pop up when I use apple private relay and my ip address is showing as being from some southern state.

It kinda reminds me of the first time I visited a maker space years ago. It was full of cutting edge lasers cutters, 3-D printers, oscilloscopes. I’m doing the tour they told us we could make anything. Then the tour ended. I get to meet the real users and they showed me what they made. Most people just made random things like etching Pokémon into their pencil case. I left thinking wow these people could make anything and that’s what they made. All I’m saying is if you give the average person something that Lockheed Martin is using to build the SR 71. The average person would probably just use it to make a toy car and that SR 71 is not going to get built.

I’m not sure I agree with this, because sometiems it is difficult to figure out the correct way to phrase an idea that is in your head and I like to use ai to help organize my thoughts even though the thing is my own. That being said. Most of my comments are not ai generated.
