i could see hooks (to hang wrenches for example) as an additional part, also plate (that one could for example glue corkboard on and then be able to pin notes)

Look at coros. Currently wearing Nomad - getting around a month of runtime on a charge WITH notifications enabled (not too many tho, only important ones). And UX is great too imho. (Not affiliated, just a happy customer)

Great idea! I would n it differently, tho - many of "problem owners" might not be aware of the term backlog.
